Ben

We got a decent number of people together for the Fourth of July one year. To this day I have no idea what fascinated Ben so much about the water off the dock.

Grass Tufts

Another Ledges favorite. This was taken on the same day as the waterfall, in a little-walked part of the park. I laid down on my stomach in the warm, dry dirt to catch these bits of grass growing in the path.

Falls

Another icon from my childhood, the water crossings at the Ledges figure in many of my memories. This park is one of Iowa's hidden gems.

Liberty Memorial

We went for a drive on a late July night in Kansas City. I took this photograph of the Liberty Memorial shortly before we got kicked out for being there after hours. Honestly I think I have been kicked out of there more times than not over the years.

Water Blocks

This photo was taken for the Tagtober contest. I walked down to the local park on a wet October night with a Tilley hat for the rain and a tripod for the camera. Rushing water filled the drainage channels, cascading down through the blocks.
